
Rev. Dr. William H. Robinson, Jr. a native of Little Rock, Arkansas and a product of Dunbar High School, has served as Senior Pastor of Theressa Hoover United Methodist Church for the past 20 years. He received a degree from Perkins Theological Seminary in Dallas, Texas and has had extensive training in community development, leadership, management, pastoral care, substance abuse, homelessness, organizational development and economic development. He has been recognized throughout the country for his exemplary work in revitalizing community and church.
Spanning over two decades, Rev. Dr. Robinson has preached that each one should help one. Therefore, through his preaching ministry, believers continue to join Theressa Hoover United Methodist church in the fight to build better and stronger communities. Theressa Hoover UMC has an intergenerational congregation participating in many ministries of the church. Rev. Dr. Robinson has watched the membership increase many folds over the past two decades.
Affectionately known as "PawPaw" by his family and throughout the community, Rev. Dr. Robinson has truly touched many lives. It has not been by his power, or his strength, but by faith, understanding that God could do it even when people told him it could not be done. A man of great character, and even greater compassion, he has demonstrated that the gospel message must extend beyond oppressive boundaries if the captives are to be set free.
