My Name is Sobriety
- by Ken Torrence

My name is Sobriety, the one that you seek. I'm difficult to hold and harder to keep. Just when you think you've got me all figured out, I will slip from your grasp and leave you in doubt.

Many come calling, but few do achieve; when you think that you have me, I'll pack up and leave.

Although you may yearn, and pray for my presence, I'll stay with no addict - without life long perseverance.

I'm difficult to hold and harder to keep; my name is SOBRIETY, the one that you seek.

I'll deceive you and trick you, again and again, until I have you believing it's a fight you can't win.

But hold on to your dream, and if you earnestly try, I might stop by to visit and not Goodbye!

I'm difficult to hold and harder to keep; my name SOBRIETY, the one that you seek.
